Introduction to Kaleidoscope

Welcome to Cultivating Affirmation & Belonging for LGBTQIA+ Youth, a course by Kaleidoscope Youth Center.

In today's course, you'll:

  • reflect on the experiences of LGBTQIA+ students
  • learn about the risk factors directly caused by discrimination
  • review possibilities for cultivating spaces of affirmation and belonging
  • create a list of specific action steps for moving forward

On this course page, you'll find links to Kaleidoscope Youth Center programs along with how to get in touch with us. You'll also find further links, images, and PDFs on each lecture page as you move through the course. Most of the content of the course is in video form. While the videos themselves are not captioned, you'll find full PDF transcripts of each video within the course.

Please reach out with any questions or concerns! We're so glad you're here!

Troubleshooting

If you've clicked "Complete and Continue" but the system will not allow you to move forward, check the following:

  1. Are you logged into your Teachable account? If you're logged out, you'll only be able to see this public preview.
  2. Have you enrolled in the course? If you haven't enrolled, you'll only be able to see this public preview.
  3. Did you play the entire video from start to finish? If you haven't watched the video in its entirety, the system will not allow you to move forward. This will be true for every video to follow as well.

If you've checked these three things and are still unable to move forward, please email [email protected] and we can help you get things sorted.
